Rescue Me ID: 17-04-19-00328Bonnie (female)
This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $175 if picked up in TN, $225 plus transport fee for out of state adoptions. Bouncy and bright is our class clown, Bonnie! She is a Rat Terrier/Jack Russell mix girl who weighs just 20 pounds and is about 1 year old. Bonnie loves to play, play, play! She is good with other dogs and enjoys her playful wrestling matches. She's good on a leash and is already crate trained. Bonnie would prefer to have a canine sibling but also loves humans as well, and is even good with cats and kids! Bonnie would also enjoy a fenced in yard where she could stretch her long legs. She still likes to chew like a puppy, so chew toys and puppy-proofing would be needed...but Bonnie will do whatever you like for a treat. Bonnie is very food motivated and will be easily trained in her new environment. When we got Bonnie, she was in a sad state, but she is almost completely recovered from demodex, a non-contagious form of mange. She hopes that you will look past her hairless legs to see her awesome personality! We think this girl will bring lots of joy and laughter to your home for years to come. If you think Bonnie is needs to come home and clown around with you, apply to adopt her today! (Less)

so I got dropped off at a kill shelter by the humans I first encountered. Then Big Dog Heaven came on the very day I was to be killed 'they said I was too scared and timid to be put on the adoption floor' so I got rescued and went to LIVE at Big Dog Heaven until they can find me a better home. I was very terrified at that big shelter, I knew they were thinking about killing me, but when I got to Big Dog Heaven, I bloomed :) I am such a sweet and friendly little girl, I love to be carried around, hugged on, and I only want to sleep with you in your bed right there by your head! I sleep very still all night long with you at my side. That is how me and ms Sharon do it! I love it, it makes me feel safe and like I am protecting my human too. Ms Sharon says she will miss me big when I find my forever home. This pic was me at the kill shelter when I was scared, if you want an updated pic, let ms Sharon know, she will send you one, I have a big smile on my new pics! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-02-28-00213Gizmo (male)
Gizmo will steal your heart with his crooked smile and charming personality. He LOVES to ride in the car and will sit right beside you and help navigate. He will dance for treats. Gizmo is slightly protective of his food and did become a little leery of bigger dogs after he was in a fight with one and broke his jaw. After he gets to know the bigger dog, he is fine with them. It is just the initial meeting that he is scared and nippy. Gizmo loves his butt scratched and loves to go on walks. He is house and kennel trained. he is good with other dogs, children, and cats. He LOVES to play with balls. He has been neutered, UTD on shots, microchipped, and Heartworm negative. (Less)

Animal ID: 16-07-24-00193Hannah (female)
Hannah is an adorable medium sized 30 pound cute as a Boston Terrier mix. She is a mix of Boston Terrier and Pit Bull Terrier. She does not really care for other dogs and so would be best as an only dog. She is agreat girl in a home with no animals. She is not a fan of crates at all, but is housetrained. She was taken to animal control after her owner was arrested. We had to save this girl. It wasn't her fault. Hannah's adoption fee is $200. This covers her medical expense including spay, microchip, vaccines (rabies, bordatella, parvo/distemper), deworming, heartworm test and flea/tick and slow kill heartworm med. She tested light positive for heartworms but we are treating her with the slow kill method and will continue to do so even after she is adopted until she tests positive. If you are interested in Miss Hannah, apply for her at www.lifehouse.petfinder.com. If you have questions email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call us at 615-310-5996. (Less)

Rat Terrier Dogs can make good pets in Tennessee if they match your IifestyIe. The Rat Terrier is a small breed of hunting dog also sometimes known as a Feist. Rat Terriers are vivacious, playful, and bold. This breed is great with children. Adult Rat Terriers adapt well to adoption. Rat Terriers are very smart and trainable. This breed can live in an apartment but needs plenty of vigorous exercise each day. Rat Terriers enjoy romping in a fenced yard, but because they are enthusiastic diggers, fences should be buried or reinforced around the base.
