Rescue Me ID: 17-10-22-00407Frito (male)
Frito is a 4 year old Rat Terrier mix who found himself surrendered to the pound through no fault of his own. He had a severe yeast infection of the skin and spent a couple weeks on medicine and getting medicated baths. He has recovered well; his hair has not grown back in much yet but he is feeling a lot better. Because of the type of infection he had, he will need to stay on a high quality grain free dog food for the remainder of his life and may also require a daily medication, but that has not yet been determined. Frito is a very happy little guy. He does a dance/flip that is just so adorable! He loves toys, especially ones that squeak. He is eager to please and both food & toy motivated. He loves to spend time outside laying in the sun and chasing toys. He is friendly with other dogs, but his compatibility with cats is not known. Frito is house broken and follows basic commands. He keeps his crate clean when he is home alone for 8 hours and will easily go into his crate on command for a treat. Frito can get a bit excited when taking treats or toys so we are suggesting a home with older children. He sleeps through the night with no problems, and loves to nest in blankets. Frito would love a family willing to play with him and take him outside for some fresh air. If you think he could possibly be a great addition to your family, please complete an adoption application for approval so that you can meet him! age: 4 years adoption fee: $200 (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-10-21-00342Romeo (male)
Romeo is a sweet boy once I get to know you, as with most chihuahua's he is snippy at first but once he trusts you he is an absolute sweety. Because of this he doesn't do well at adoption events and has been passed up several times. He really needs to find his forever home.

Rescue Me ID: 17-09-12-00640Rhoda (female)
Rhoda is a 5mth old spayed female Terrier mix. I think she will be about 25lbs full grown. Rhoda is a little sweetheart. She loves attention but doesn't demand it. She is happy lying in your lap or will happily curl up on her bed. She is ready to play when you are but will also just hang out and watch the day go by. She is a quiet girl whom I have seldom heard bark. She has done excellent with house training and is learning basic commands. She loves children, cats and other dogs. She is up to date on shots and wormed. She is already spayed. The adoption fee is $125. If interested in meeting this cutie, please email email@example.com or call the foster at 419-591-6621 . When emailing please include information about you and your family including other pets. (Less)

Animal ID: PPR17-32Sam (male)
Sam is 2-years-old and is still a very young pup who is lively, cheerful, and agile. He weighs almost 11 lbs. He enjoys a lot of affection, gives kisses, and cuddles on your lap. He is an excellent walker, runs like lightning in the yard, and enjoys playing with toys. He is a perfect passenger in the car, is good with baths, and loves sleeping with you too. If you have any questions please contact the foster home at the link found at http://puppypalsrescue.com/Dogs_Sam1732.html. Fill out an application if you are interested in adopting this pup - you can find those at http://puppypalsrescue.com/Applications.html. (Email the foster home and let them know you applied so they can be sure the application is received!) Sam just can't wait to find a forever home! Thanks!!! (Less)

Rat Terrier Dogs can make good pets in Ohio if they match your IifestyIe. The Rat Terrier is a small breed of hunting dog also sometimes known as a Feist. Rat Terriers are vivacious, playful, and bold. This breed is great with children. Adult Rat Terriers adapt well to adoption. Rat Terriers are very smart and trainable. This breed can live in an apartment but needs plenty of vigorous exercise each day. Rat Terriers enjoy romping in a fenced yard, but because they are enthusiastic diggers, fences should be buried or reinforced around the base.
