Rescue Me ID: 14-02-24-00399Molly (female)
Molly is a young (approximately 2-year-old), female, Rat terrier mix. To give you an idea of her size, Molly weighed 24 lbs at her last vet visit. Molly is a calm and loving girl. Molly loves to cuddle and to be pet. Molly came into the rescue from the pound. She had been found as a stray along with Jacey. Molly seems to be house-trained and crate-trained. She gets along well with the other dogs in her foster home. She likes doggie treats but doesn't seem to know what toys are yet. Molly is new to the rescue and we will update her bio as we learn more about her. If you are interested in adopting Molly, please email us at email@example.com for an adoption application. Molly's adoption fee is $195, which covers her spay surgery, a microchip, DHLPP vaccine, Rabies vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, heartworm test, dewormer, and Recolution for flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Feel free to email us with any questions. Thanks! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-02-08-00421Tut (male)
This is Tut, and I rescued him from the pound because I felt he'd be a great fit for my boyfriend and I; however, he and I work too much to properly take care of him. It's not fair to Tut to not get our full attention everyday. He's super friendly and loves people. Please help him find a wonderful home. I will miss him a lot, but I want him to be extremely happy.

Animal ID: 1005Ruby SPONSORED (female)
Hi there. My name is Ruby. I am about 8 months old and I only weigh 17 lbs. Now, don't get me wrong... I am NOT supposed to be a tiny lap dog... I am just emaciated! I should probably weigh at least 25 lbs. I was picked up as a stray in the Wellsville area... It was found when it was super cold outside and very snowy. I am terrified of just about everything. I have more than likely been neglected and abused my whole life. Aside from being emaciated, I am not just a normal happy-go-lucky dog. After being here at the shelter for a couple of weeks I am finally starting to wag my tail a little bit instead of cowering when a human reaches for me. The more positive attention I receive, the more I come out of my shell and learn to trust people. I do have a long road ahead of me to be able to be somewhat 'normal'. I must have been kept in a small cage. I pace in circles a lot. I may never be able to stop doing this. Sometimes, even when I am being walked on a leash, I will have to stop and spin myself around a few times. This happens a lot with dogs that are confined to cages all the time. Because I was starved and I am still quite hungry all the time, even after a couple weeks of being fed well, I do guard my food from people and other dogs. I guess it was never there before, so I think every meal I get might be my last. Not only do I guard my own food, I will also try to bully dogs out of their own food, so I will need fed completely separate from other dogs. I am unsocialized with other dogs so I really don't know what to do with them. If I feel threatened by them, I will defend myself, but I seem okay with dogs that mind their own business and leave me alone. I will need time, patience and understanding as well as basic training and house breaking as I learn to be a member of the family. If you have time patience and love to give, please consider adopting me. I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer. I AM SCHEDULED TO BE EUTHANIZED ON : FEBRUARY 5TH. IF MY EUTHANASIA DATE AND TIME ARE ABLE TO BE EXTENDED IT WILL BE. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THIS AS I AM NOT IN URGENT NEED OF A HOME BECAUSE I AM. THIS IS DETERMINED ON A DAY BY DAY BASIS AS THE POUND'S SPACE IS VERY LIMITED. *********UPDATE******RUBY HAS JUST RECEIVED A SPONSORSHIP TO COVER ALL HER VETTING/ADOPTION FEES TO ANY APPROVED RESCUE. THANK YOU ANN HARPER FOR CARING ABOUT OUR DOGS AND HELPING THEM OUT!!! RUBY SENDS HER THANKS AND LOVE. MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY SPAY SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO. THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS. (Less)

Rat Terrier Dogs can make good pets in Ohio if they match your IifestyIe. The Rat Terrier is a small breed of hunting dog also sometimes known as a Feist. Rat Terriers are vivacious, playful, and bold. This breed is great with children. Adult Rat Terriers adapt well to adoption. Rat Terriers are very smart and trainable. This breed can live in an apartment but needs plenty of vigorous exercise each day. Rat Terriers enjoy romping in a fenced yard, but because they are enthusiastic diggers, fences should be buried or reinforced around the base.
