    If you are looking for a super sweet little dog, look no further than JEWEL. Jewel was found running as a stray out in the country in Shelby County, OH. She is a little thing, with a huge loving personality. She loves relaxing in your lap and just taking it easy. She does well on a leash out on walks. But she also doesn't mind being held for a while either. She gets along well with the other Rat Terrier that is at the shelter, but has not yet been tested with large dogs. The Shelby County Animal Shelter is open Monday-Friday from 9-5 and Saturday from 9-1.

    Rat Terrier Dogs can make good pets in Ohio if they match your IifestyIe. The Rat Terrier is a small breed of hunting dog also sometimes known as a Feist. Rat Terriers are vivacious, playful, and bold. This breed is great with children. Adult Rat Terriers adapt well to adoption. Rat Terriers are very smart and trainable. This breed can live in an apartment but needs plenty of vigorous exercise each day. Rat Terriers enjoy romping in a fenced yard, but because they are enthusiastic diggers, fences should be buried or reinforced around the base.
