Rescue Me ID: 14-09-17-00111Spotty (male)

Rat Terrier    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Please consider SPOTTY Spotty is a 3-4 year old male, Rat Terrier, neutered, UTD on vaccines. very smart, obedience trained, housebroken and loves to cuddle. He is afraid of strangers but with the right family, one who is willing to take the advice & instruction of Spotty's trainer things will be fine. There was a problem in his current home with one of the family dogs, but gets along fine with the other one. So testing would have to be done if there is already a resident dog. Our suggestion would be either a couple or a family with kids 13 years old and up. We don't know how he is with cats, but given his breed we would feel ... (Read More)more comfortable with a home that does not have cats. A foster would be fine, but an adopter would be better. Animal ID: 1466Sonja (female)

Rat Terrier    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Experienced lap warmer looking for a job, willing to relocate! Adorable little 10-lb. Sonja is the perfect size for any lap, and that is her favorite place to be. She is very affectionate and snuggly and happiest when spending a quiet day at home with her human. Sonja is 7 years old and in good health, though she does have an unknown neurological abnormality that affects her legs and her stability. She has a bounce when she walks, wobbles a bit, and falls over easily. While this condition somewhat limits her physical activities, it doesn't cause her any pain and doesn't require any special medical care. Sonja enjoys being outside and going ... (Read More)for walks. Indoors she is well-behaved and house trained. She gets along with other dogs that she knows, but she will bark and get excited if she meets another dog when out on a walk. She is anxious around children and strangers and will bark at them but is not aggressive. A large, busy family with daily visitors coming and going would be too overwhelming for this shy girl, who wouldn't know how to handle all the commotion. Sonja would be happiest in a quieter home with a single person or couple and a less active lifestyle. If this sounds like you, Sonja is ready to fill your lap--and your heart--with her sweet, adorable self. ========================================================================================If you are interested in adopting Sonja, please go to New Rattitude's website at http://www.NewRattitude.org/adopt.htm, where there is detailed information and a link to our adoption application. Rat Terrier Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Average Temperament

This pretty little cutie is Sasha'|.who can resist these ears???? Sasha is a 5 year old chi/rat terrier mix who weighs 23lbs. (She is a little 'fluffy' but she couldn't exercise while undergoing HW treatment'|so she may need to lose a few lbs when she heads north'| Shhhh - don't tell her.) Her foster mom in SC can't say enough great things about her! She tells us that Sasha is fully housebroken and has free roam of the house at all times without ever having any issues. She is great with other dogs of all sizes, as well as cats. She loves to play with anyone who is willing, but she is also respectful of older felines who just prefer to ... (Read More)cuddle'|in fact, she sleeps cuddled up next to her foster's cat every night! She is also great with children! She is really the perfect mix of playful and cuddly - she is very much a lap dog, yet she still is friendly and loves to play. She will play with you or make you giggle when she plays with herself'|.she is VERY silly! She also loves to lounges in the sun and go on trips. She truly is going to be the perfect addition to any family. Sasha is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines. Our adoption fee is $375. Please note that for the safety of our dogs, we only adopt to homes with securely fenced yards.
