|Rescue Me ID: 17-07-22-00002Bob (male)|
Are you looking for an active companion? One who would love to go hiking or on long walks with you? Or even do some agility work? Then look no further! Bob is a great little guy. He is a 17lb rat terrier mix. He's happy and fun and loveable. He has a couple quirks but nothing that can't be worked on and these are things we have been working on in his foster home. Bob does well with kids and other dogs. We do suggest he goes to a home with kids 5 and up though. He's been around cats and does well when supervised. Otherwise he will chase and bark. He's definitely a talker! He loves his rope toys and ball and is super food motivated! He is crate trained and 100% house trained when keep on a routine. Bobs adoption fee will include his crate, toys, pillow, starter food, all vetting, microchip and some heart worm and flea prevention. His adoption fee is $125. (Less)

|Animal ID: 0102Pepe (male)|
This little one I called Pepe or pepper was on the EU list for being Heart worm Positive, my friend in Texas saw him at the shelter and asked if I would help him. Oh course I could not say No. He is just such a little lover boy. This poor guy not only had Heart worms but also needed many teeth pulled and needed to be fixed, he has been through the mill poor guy. He has now completed his Heart worm treatment been fixed all shots and micro chipped, thinking he is about 5 and a chi rat terrier mix about 7.5 lbs gained since he was fixed. Was 6lbs, but still very small. Pepe would LOVE to find a loving home to call his own with all the attention he so does deserve. Fenced yard would be best for him. He loves my grandson the most, so good with kids. But my grandson is quite the animal lover and great with the dogs here. (Less)

Rat Terrier Dogs can make good pets in Missouri if they match your IifestyIe. The Rat Terrier is a small breed of hunting dog also sometimes known as a Feist. Rat Terriers are vivacious, playful, and bold. This breed is great with children. Adult Rat Terriers adapt well to adoption. Rat Terriers are very smart and trainable. This breed can live in an apartment but needs plenty of vigorous exercise each day. Rat Terriers enjoy romping in a fenced yard, but because they are enthusiastic diggers, fences should be buried or reinforced around the base.
