|Animal ID: 1469Baby (female)|
Baby is a big, beautiful 20-lb. girl with a big personality to match and an abundance of love to share. One of her most appealing attributes is her affection for people, and her favorite place to be is right by your side, relaxing on the couch, in your lap, or snuggling in bed. Baby really enjoys watching TV and is one of those dogs that can actually recognize animals on the screen. When she sees one, she will run to the TV to check it out! At 10 years of age, Baby is still a very active girl, so she requires regular walks, runs, or time to play in the yard. She LOVES to play and chasing a tennis ball is a favorite game. She also enjoys squeaky toys. Baby is house trained, but she does not ask to go out. She is a dog of routine and is used to going out three or four times a day. She is not crate trained, but her house manners are excellent, and she can reliably be left loose indoors alone without concern. Baby knows and obeys the verbal commands 'sit,' 'come,' and 'wait.' She also knows how to shake and roll over! Baby is friendly and outgoing when meeting adults, but she doesn't like to be picked up or chased. Fast-moving hands make her very nervous, and if she feels threatened, she will warn with a growl and show of teeth. She is especially fearful of children, and for this reason, an adult-only home is recommended. Baby would love to be the center of your attention, but she would also be fine sharing your home with other pets. Loyal, intelligent, affectionate, and funny, this very special girl will make someone an amazing companion. ========================================================================================If you are interested in adopting Baby, please go to New Rattitude's website at http://www.NewRattitude.org/adopt.htm, where there is detailed information and a link to our adoption application. |Rescue Me ID: 14-07-12-00005Scooter (male)|
Young adult intact male. Might be Chihuahua Rat Terrier mix. Person who has Scooter has him because a family member didn't want him anymore because Scooter wasn't interested in their female for breeding and the family member basically dumped the dog on her. She cannot keep it. If she doesn't find a home soon then she may have to surrender it to the Humane Society. This is a sad story and so unfair to this beautiful little dog. He's a little shy at first but warms up with treats, would be a good cuddle bug.

|Rescue Me ID: 14-02-05-00594Diva (female)|
[Read About Natural Seizure Care] Approx DOB: 6/2009 Approx Weight: 15 pds Adoption Fee: $175 A 2 week trial is included to help ensure everyone's happiness. Diva has had numerous seizures in the past but they recently stopped due to the daily medication she takes. She has to have a full blood panel done every 6-12 months to check the levels and to make sure they are not damaging her organs. This is Diva , her owner didn't want her any more so they gave her and her 2 week old baby to Furry Kids. Diva is a very sweet and a loving little girl. She is pretty much housebroke, but since she is on medication for her seizures it makes her have to go potty a lot more . Her foster mom crates her ( in a plastic crate only) with potty pads when she is out of the house to give her a option to relieve herself and to also protect her if she was to have a seizure. Diva's foster mom says this little girl is just the most loving furry kid you will ever meet. She loves all other animals, children, adults. She loves to go for car rides and walks. She is always happy and just a joy to foster. Diva has not had a seizure since August 2012 so the vet feels that her medication is at the right level now to keep her from having any more. Diva has been spayed, heart worm tested negative, vaccinated, micro chipped and her adoption fee includes a 2 week trial to help ensure everyone's happiness. If you think that Diva could be the dog for you go to , www.Furrykidsrefuge.org. and click on' Adopt A Dog ' and fill out the on line app. One our volunteers will contact you as soon as possible , please be patient, we all work and have families . |Rescue Me ID: 14-01-26-00511Addie (female)|
NO CHILDREN UNDER 10 YEARS OLD PLEASE! Addie was adopted from Furry Kids' Refuge as a puppy and recently returned because the family had kids and Addie didn't care for them too much. She prefers to have play time with things that have fur on them instead. Not small human beings. She loves to act like a puppy and will play all the time with the other dogs in her foster home! Addie is a wonderful girl who is completely house trained, will go into the kennel (would much prefer to not have to though), and also sleep next to you on the couch. She is just adorable looking with her snaggle tooth, slight underbite, and 'one ear up - one ear down' look. Addie is very fond of food. She will gladly eat her food, then immediately stare you down as you eat your dinner, and then happily try to counter surf in your kitchen to see if possibly anything was left within reach. :) She would love to find a nice home with a warm couch to curl up on, a built in playmate (but if not that's okay too), and a willing hand ready to pet her at a moments notice. Addie will need a home with a fenced yard that is at least 6ft high because she can scale a 4/5ft fence to chase a squirrel!! Addie would do best in a home without cats as she tends to have an obsessive interest in them which they do not appreciate! Addie has been spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative and microchipped. If you are interested in adopting Addie, please complete the adoption application located at www.furrykidsrefuge.org/adoptadog and a dedicated volunteer will get back to you as soon as possible. Rat Terrier Dogs can make good pets in Missouri if they match your IifestyIe. The Rat Terrier is a small breed of hunting dog also sometimes known as a Feist. Rat Terriers are vivacious, playful, and bold. This breed is great with children. Adult Rat Terriers adapt well to adoption. Rat Terriers are very smart and trainable. This breed can live in an apartment but needs plenty of vigorous exercise each day. Rat Terriers enjoy romping in a fenced yard, but because they are enthusiastic diggers, fences should be buried or reinforced around the base.
