|Rescue Me ID: 15-09-04-00297Nina (female)|
'NINA' is a miniature Rat Terrier. She was my mother's dog, but she can no longer care for Nina. I took Nina in, but my 2 dogs won't leave her alone. Since I don't want her to spend life in a cage, she needs a good home. Nina likes attention, walks, not much into playing with toys. Likes to be a 'lap' dog.

I'm Whitey, and I'm in desperate need of rescue - going on 5 months at the shelter now! I am currently in Missouri, but the kind lady who is helping me get out of the shelter is able to arrange transportation for me to Colorado! She also has a sponsor lined up who will pay for my vaccinations and heart-worm test. Some people have such huge hearts! She also describes me as a doll baby and extremely sweet. I am practically non-reactive to the other dogs walking through the shelter, so I am good with dogs too. Please call 314-769-4545 and help me get out of the shelter and into my forever home.
|Rescue Me ID: 15-08-12-00433Mr. Wigglesworth (male)|
If you are interested in Mr. Wigglesworth please complete an application at: www.furrykidsrefuge.org/adoptadog Please Note we do not normally adopt outside of the Kansas City, MO area. Mr. Wigglesworth was a stray at a local shelter. We believe he is a Rat Terrier mix. Mr. Wigglesworth is truly one happy little guy and he very much lives up to his name! Our volunteer who picked him up from the shelter said he was so friendly and excited to meet her. Mr. Wigglesworth has just gone to a foster home and his foster mom is working with him on his housebreaking skills which he has not yet mastered. As soon as we learn more about his personality we will update his bio. (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 15-05-19-00227Addie (female)|
DOB: 5/8/2007 Approx Weight: 35 lbs. NO CHILDREN UNDER 10 YEARS OLD PLEASE! $125 adoption fee includes a 2 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness! Addie was adopted from Furry Kids' Refuge as a puppy and recently returned because the family had kids and Addie didn't care for them too much. She prefers to have play time with things that have fur on them instead. Not small human beings. She loves to act like a puppy and will play all the time with the other dogs in her foster home! Addie is a wonderful girl who is completely house trained, will go into the kennel (would much prefer to not have to though), and also sleep next to you on the couch. She is just adorable looking with her snaggle tooth, slight underbite, and 'one ear up - one ear down' look. Addie is very fond of food. She will gladly eat her food, then immediately stare you down as you eat your dinner, and then happily try to counter surf in your kitchen to see if possibly anything was left within reach. :) She would love to find a nice home with a warm couch to curl up on, a built in playmate (but if not that's okay too), and a willing hand ready to pet her at a moments notice. Addie will need a home with a fenced yard that is at least 6ft high because she can scale a 4/5ft fence to chase a squirrel!! Addie would do best in a home without cats as she tends to have an obsessive interest in them which they do not appreciate! Addie has been spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative and microchipped. If you are interested in adopting Addie, please complete the adoption application located at www.furrykidsrefuge.org/adoptadog and a dedicated volunteer will get back to you as soon as possible. |PIease Read Before Adopting a Rat Terrier in Missouri|
Rat Terrier Dogs can make good pets in Missouri if they match your IifestyIe. The Rat Terrier is a small breed of hunting dog also sometimes known as a Feist. Rat Terriers are vivacious, playful, and bold. This breed is great with children. Adult Rat Terriers adapt well to adoption. Rat Terriers are very smart and trainable. This breed can live in an apartment but needs plenty of vigorous exercise each day. Rat Terriers enjoy romping in a fenced yard, but because they are enthusiastic diggers, fences should be buried or reinforced around the base.
