|Rescue Me ID: 16-01-12-00825Leroy (male)|
iUPDATE!!! Leroy was fostered this weekend. The gentleman said he was well mannered in the house, didn't chew on things and has impeccable house training. Leroy apparently is quite the shedder but did improve after a bath and brushing. Leroy's new family will need to understand that he is a puppy along with a herding breed so mouthing is his way. With that said, a weekend in foster did wonders and he has improved quite a bit. He walks well with a gentle leader and absolutely LOVES to play fetch. When he plays fetch he also enjoys running in a few circles to burn off energy (like any other herding breed). Things noticed since he has been at the shelter: Loves to play fetch but not with a ball - prefers a rope Has to go to a home with an assertive owner or he WILL take charge. Size of a cattle dog but has the looks of a rat terrier. Really cool dog. Loves playing fetch with a rope. Listens well. Call 913-684-4939/1669 or email email@example.com. Black face, white body with spots Relinquished due to lack of time to train him Easily trained Does well in car Hasn't ever been provoked to bite Timid upon first arrival/meet Good with kids but does still mouth a bit. Likes to play fetch, chase, running on leash with owner, Kongs and chew toys. Loves a good belly rub Very playful yet thinks he is a lap dog Will dig in the yard when left Kennel trained Walks well on leash Does not bark frequently Goes outside off leash and stays with owner Does still jump on people Completely house trained Described as affectionate, curious, energetic, friendly, happy, playful, trainable Adoption Application Link below: Copy and Paste to browser: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1h2iliPqPoH3TDu4qC4MnztzJsJD5e-kS8hYme9jUD0A/viewform?usp=send_form (Less)

Heidi is a precious little girl who is a Rat Terrier mix. She is approximately 5 yrs old. Her fur is so soft and has a bit of wave to it. She belonged to a lady who had alzheimer's that would no longer care for her. She is as sweet as can be and good with other dog. She had bladder stones when she came to us from eating nothing but table scraps. She had surgery to remove them and is doing awesome and ready to find a home. She is spayed, current on vaccinations, heart worm tested negative, microchipped and had fecal and wormed. |PIease Read Before Adopting a Rat Terrier in Kansas|
Rat Terrier Dogs can make good pets in Kansas if they match your IifestyIe. The Rat Terrier is a small breed of hunting dog also sometimes known as a Feist. Rat Terriers are vivacious, playful, and bold. This breed is great with children. Adult Rat Terriers adapt well to adoption. Rat Terriers are very smart and trainable. This breed can live in an apartment but needs plenty of vigorous exercise each day. Rat Terriers enjoy romping in a fenced yard, but because they are enthusiastic diggers, fences should be buried or reinforced around the base.
