|Animal ID: 2045Sophie (female)|
Hi, my name is Sophie! I'm 2 years old and an 18-lb. Rattie mix with a healthy helping of Beagle, they say. I'm so very grateful that I have a foster family to take care of me and help me become a well-mannered little lady, but I'm even more excited at the thought of having my very own family to love! Right now, I'm doing very nicely with my house-training. I have accidents occasionally, but I'm working hard to become a master at doing my business outdoors. I'm also working on crate training. (A few treats will always encourage me to go into my crate.) I'm affectionate, energetic, and playful, and I hope my future family will take me for daily walks and give me chances to run and play. I would also really like to have a doggy playmate because other dogs are great! And if you have kids, that's just fine with me too! I have been around young humans from 3 to 17 years of age, and they were so much fun! If you want to see more of me, you can check out my photo album at http://imageevent.com/newrattitude/sophie. ------------------------------------------------------ IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING SOPHIE, please go to new Rattitude's website at http://www.NewRattitude.org/adopt.htm, where there is detailed information and a link to our adoption application. |Rescue Me ID: 17-11-22-00394Corrina (female)|
Corrina is a special case. She is a 2-3 yr. old Toy Fox Terrier. She was dropped off at my dog grooming shop about 6wks ago. I have taken her to our veterinarian and he has diagnosed her with PTSD. There is no doubt she has been abused by someone in her past. The lady who dropped her at my shop had only had her for 3 mos. She said they couldn't handle her anymore. She said she got her from a boarding kennel where she had been abandoned. We know nothing before that. She is highly anxious and has some behavioral issues like barking in the car, chewing holes in some fabric, peeing in odd places (she uses pads for the most part). Corrina is also so sweet! She is a very odd dog but she captures your heart almost immediately! She was scared to be touched, especially around her face when she first came. Now...she loves to be petted and to cuddle under blankets as close to a person as she can get! She has been sweet with everyone even kids. We have not seen an ounce of aggression to anyone. She will follow us all over the house. She doesn't like people to leave. She becomes frantic, barking and running around. She breaks my heart! I haven't had her spayed yet but that will be done before she leaves here. I will be looking for an adopter that will have the time and patience to seriously work with her and get her the medical help she may need. The Dr. said there is ways to manage her PTSD to make her life more relaxed. She has already came quite a ways in the almost 7 weeks she has been here. I think she will do best in a quiet household. If you think you may be Corrina's new parent please call, text or email me. I would like to begin talking to people as she will be ready to be adopted very soon. She will most definitely bless someone's life very richly! (Less)

Updated post: Still looking for a home for this boy. He has some serious behavioral issues and needs training, for this reason I have yet to find him a suitable place to go. The constant peeing on everything is something I cannot tolerate anymore. If I cant find a good home for him soon, I will have no choice but to take him to the pound, none of the no kill shelters in my area have openings. I've left messages with the humane society of Indianapolis and gotten no response. Every day he ruins something new by peeing all over it. Anything I place on the floor gets peed on. Anytime he is able to access my bedroom, he jumps on my bed and pees on my pillows. This is driving me insane. Please someone take this dog. Original post: 2 year old mixed breed male, very sweet and loving dog. I've been his only owner, due to his excessive potty accidents and having children in the home, I cannot keep him any longer. I dont want to take him to a shelter, I just want to find a loving home for him. Please help (Less)

Rat Terrier Dogs can make good pets in Indiana if they match your IifestyIe. The Rat Terrier is a small breed of hunting dog also sometimes known as a Feist. Rat Terriers are vivacious, playful, and bold. This breed is great with children. Adult Rat Terriers adapt well to adoption. Rat Terriers are very smart and trainable. This breed can live in an apartment but needs plenty of vigorous exercise each day. Rat Terriers enjoy romping in a fenced yard, but because they are enthusiastic diggers, fences should be buried or reinforced around the base.
