Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Fearful/Anxious

Annabelle's Story... Annabelle arrived from a high kill animal shelter in Texas with severe flea bite dermatitis, and a corneal ulcer and severe eye infection. She also arrived with her two 10 week old puppies still nursing. Annabelle was given lots of medicated baths and special allergy medications to help her heal her skin and regrow her fur. She also had her eye treated several times per day. The infection has cleared and she is feeling a whole lot better! She really loves to play, and is quite a character! Annabelle is like no other dog. A little awkward, a little shy, a little timid, but once warmed up she runs to you with tail wagging ... (Read More)and begging for attention. Her minimum adoption donation is $275 and she has been fully vetted including spay, microchip, all shots, fecal tested, heart worm tested, dewormer and advantage multi applied monthly. (Less)

Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament

His adult weight will most likely be around 10-20lbs. Like most active and intelligent breeds, rat terriers are happiest when they receive a great deal of mental stimulation and exercise. He holds true to this and has lots of energy to burn. Tyrion does great with other animals, including his foster sister, a pitbull, and also shares his foster home with a large parrot. He loves to bounce around inside and out. Playing with his toys is his favorite thing to do, as well as explore ... (Read More)the world around him to its fullest. He is a quick learner, and very treat motivated. He is 90% potty trained so will need a bit more time to master his house training. He is a bold boy, and is happy to show you how fearless he is. Animal ID: 1457Bandit (male)

Rat Terrier    Age: Adult

Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Bandit, a 7.5-lb., 5-year-old fellow, wants you to know that, despite his name, he has never stolen anything. In fact, he has worked hard to overcome a tough start in life--one which included being surrendered to the humane society not once but TWICE when his family had to move! Not surprisingly, Bandit developed some separation anxiety, but with patience and love from his New Rattitude foster family and the help of some anxiety-reducing medication, he has become more relaxed and comfortable with normal daily activities. Now having learned to give and receive affection from those he trusts, he loves to snuggle and have his belly rubbed, ... (Read More)temples massaged, and head patted. He is eager to jump into his foster parents' lap and give gentle kisses. This affectionate boy is also friendly with strangers, warming up to them quickly. Bandit seems a bit indifferent toward other dogs, and if they wish to play and he doesn't, he will either ignore them or give them a little bark to let them know he is not interested. Bandit is crate trained and keeps his crate clean when his foster mom is at work. He is also house trained and quietly announces his need by standing near the door to be let out. However, not being a fan of inclement weather, Bandit will resist going outside until it has stopped raining, preferring instead to cuddle through the storm. Bandit loves going on walks or jogs, and he is working on perfecting his already good leash manners by learning to take a seat when he sees other dogs. And while he is interested in the other critters he sees while on walks, he generally doesn't try to pull toward them unless he gets close to them. A dog who has tackled so many hurdles deserves a future filled with days of gentle, tail-wagging play and curling up in the lap of that special someone who has lots of patience and love to share. If you dare, check out some pictures of Bandit during training at http://imageevent.com/newrattitude/bandito , you may discover that Bandit will have stolen one thing, after all--and that's your heart. ========================================================================================If you are interested in adopting Bandit, please go to New Rattitude's website at http://www.NewRattitude.org/adopt.htm, where there is detailed information and a link to our adoption application.
