Animal ID: 100Peaches (female)

Rat Terrier Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Sweeter than a Georgia peach, this pup has so much love to give! Although it is uncertain of her exact breed, Peaches greatly resembles a rat terrier. At 12 weeks old she is 7lbs, with the average weight for this breed being 10-20lbs. She likes to be snuggled and wants nothing more than to crawl into your lap for hugs and kisses. Peaches loves to be anywhere you are, and is always quietly right behind you hoping for some attention. She is learning how to walk on a leash along with some other basic commands such as sit, and being good in her kennel. She is about 90% potty trained, and just needs more time and patience from her new loving ... (Read More)home to help her develop into the perfect pup she wants to be. Nicknamed 'Princess,' Peaches loves to sit in her bed with her toys, and watch her brothers play around her. She is great with other dogs, but sometimes becomes intimidated by larger dogs if they play too rough. Always a happy puppy, this sweetheart deserves someone who can give her their heart and a forever home (Less)

Rat Terrier Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Benji is quite a character. Although it is unknown of his exact breed, Benji shows characteristics of a rat terrier. At 12 weeks old he is 6 %BD lbs. His adult weight will most likely be 10-20lbs. Like most active and intelligent breeds, rat terriers tend to be happier when they receive a great deal of mental stimulation and exercise. Benji is very inquisitive, but will take his time when discovering new things, such as people, objects, or activities. Being a very affectionate dog, he would be an excellent companion for those who enjoy having a pup in their lap or bed at night. He is a cheerful pup and tends to be calmer and more sensitive ... (Read More)than his brother and sister. He is 90% potty trained and is learning to be a good boy in a kennel. He is amazingly perceptive and intuitively responds to moods. With a great desire to please, Benji will follow you around the house looking for any opportunity for praise. He is good with smaller dogs, but runs away when bigger dogs approach him. Some more socialization with new experiences and positive reinforcement will insure this 'rascal' will have a confident, happy life in his forever home. (Less)

Animal ID: 1420Ranger (male)

Rat Terrier    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Pictures do not do Ranger's handsomeness justice! He is marked with gorgeous brown and black that is somewhere between sable and brindle, and his sweet and loyal personality is as attractive as his outward appearance. He wants nothing more than to be next to his human. He will curl up next to you with a bone, but what he especially loves is resting his head on your chest while being petted. That is when he will look up at you with his big, brown eyes full of love. Ranger is about 2 years old and has plenty of youthful energy. He enjoys walks, dog sports, and whatever other fun the great outdoors has to offer. His tall, athletic build would ... (Read More)help him excel in agility exercises. He currently weighs about 16 lbs., although he is working to gain a couple more to get to his ideal weight. Ranger is an eager learner. He already knows 'sit,' 'watch me,' and 'down,' and he is now learning 'leave it' and 'back up.' He would do well in a home where he could continue his training. He is taking a refresher course in house training, and is coming along nicely; he keeps a clean crate most of the time, knows that he is supposed to use the outdoor facilities, and does well in the house when watched closely. Ranger enjoys the company of others dogs and would appreciate at least one canine playmate in his forever home. He does not seem to mind cats. And he enjoys young children and is very loving and gentle with his 1-year old human foster brother. You can see more photos of Ranger in his album at http://imageevent.com/newrattitude/ranger . ========================================================================================If you are interested in adopting Ranger, please go to New Rattitude's website at http://www.NewRattitude.org/adopt.htm, where there is detailed information and a link to our adoption application.
