Hi! I'm Tripp! I'm a 3 year old Rat Terrier, and boy do I love to cuddle! I am so calm. I'll just sit in your lap and let you rub my ears for hours! I've got good house manners, and I love my foster brothers and sisters. They are all different sizes from a little Chihuahua to a big coon hound! I get along great with everyone. Not sure about cats, though. I haven't spent much time with them. I love kids! I think they are neat. I mostly just sniff them. They would be neat to live with. I love to go for walks, too. I mind my foster mom really well on a leash! She says I'm a good boy! I do have to tell you guys something, though. I'm a peg ... (Read More)leg. I am missing one of my back feet. But i'm still fast! I keep up wtih the rest of my foster pack just fine! I even use my little nub leg to help me balance. I hope you don't think it's a bad thing. My foster mommy says it's 'endearing.' I don't know what that means, but she doesn't seem to mind. I hope you won't either! I think I'd be a good fit in just about any family. I am calm, kennel trained, house trained, and on a good schedule. I spend the daytime out in the sunshine in my fenced in backyard, and I come in and snuggle when my foster parents get home. I hope I get to live somewhere like that. Just sunshine and cuddles, all day! My foster mom wants to make sure that I'm the rigth fit for your home. So, if you're interested in spending more time with me, reach out to her! She'll talk to you about me, and maybe do an interview and trial stay. That will give us a chance to get to know each other and make sure it's a good thing for both of us. Then, if it goes well, I'll come join you in my Forever Home! That sounds SO nice! I can't wait! Rachel is my foster mom, and her email address is RachelLHBaker@gmail.com. Let her know if you want to know more about me. You can also check me out on Facebook. Just look up 'Tripp the Peg Leg.' I think I'm famous! :) See you later! --Tripp (Less)

Jeri, Jeri, quite uncontrary, how does your garden grow? Well maybe Jeri doesn't have a garden, but she could help you with yours if you decided to come and adopt her, providing a fur-ever home and family. Jeri is a sweet girl, she is UTD on shots, and will be spayed before coming home with you. She is between 2 and 3 years old, and looks like she might have some Rat Terrier, Australian Shepherd, Jack Russell, and English Setter heritage. Come visit jubilant Jeri at Second Chance in Boaz and see if she might be the jewel that completes your family's crown.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Rat Terrier in Alabama
Rat Terrier Dogs can make good pets in Alabama if they match your IifestyIe. The Rat Terrier is a small breed of hunting dog also sometimes known as a Feist. Rat Terriers are vivacious, playful, and bold. This breed is great with children. Adult Rat Terriers adapt well to adoption. Rat Terriers are very smart and trainable. This breed can live in an apartment but needs plenty of vigorous exercise each day. Rat Terriers enjoy romping in a fenced yard, but because they are enthusiastic diggers, fences should be buried or reinforced around the base.
